Joining x to other letters
Lowercase x finishes with an exit stroke at the baseline that runs into the next letter. Trace box to see the connection, then try the word on the blank copy line.
In many cursive models the crossing stroke of x is added after the word is written, like the dot on i. In box, the x comes after o, which ends high at the midline.
